Yankee Cats Sungani Chikondi
I had been in love with Chiko since the day he was born. Although I was firmly resolved to be sensible and not keep him, as you can see, I didn't succeed ;-) The name Sungani Chikondi is a tribute to his ancestor Garibaldi, who was born almost exactly 25 years before Chiko. History repeated itself in other ways, too: like Garibaldi and Calibear he had already been promised to someone else, and it was only shortly before he was due to leave that it turned out he would be staying with me after all.
Chiko not only has my dream color shaded, which I certainly wouldn't have expected from his parents, but he has also grown into a stunningly beautiful boy with exquisite type and huge ear tufts. He has also developed a wonderfully affectionate personality.
I don't really have a use for Chiko in my breeding program, but that doesn't matter to me. Perhaps an opportunity will arise at some point, and if not, he’ll simply stay here to be loved, just like several others before him.
